Jacob Stamell
Founding Partner
Founding Partner Jacob Stamell focuses his practice on general criminal defense with specialties in sex crimes, violent crime, child abuse, and domestic violence cases. Prior to founding Stamell Law, Jacob was a prosecutor in Oakland County for over 9 years. Four of those years were spent as a Special Prosecutor in the Special Victims Unit, where Jacob handled almost exclusively felony domestic violence, child abuse, and criminal sexual conduct cases. Jacob graduated from Wayne State University Law School where he served as a Senior Editor on the Wayne Law Review. Jacob has bachelor's degrees in both physiology and psychology from Michigan State University.
Meagan Stamell
Managing Partner
Meagan Stamell is the Managing Partner of the firm. Meagan focuses her practice on general criminal defense and specializes in drug possession, drug trafficking, firearm cases, and appeals. Prior to joining Stamell Law, Meagan was a prosecutor for over 9 years, serving in both Grand Traverse and Oakland County. She was also a partner in a prominent law firm in the Metro Detroit Area. Meagan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Detroit Mercy School of Law where she was an Executive Editor on the Detroit Mercy Law Review. Meagan graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Detroit Mercy where she majored in political science with a minor in business.
